Ethics and the Insurance Agent #(69812) (3) Credits 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This course will cover the definition of ethics, business ethics and the relationship between ethics and the law. How ethics fits into business decisions and certain conflicts of interest. Case studies that require answering difficult ethical questions are used to cover different situations that an agent may be put in during the course of day to day business.

Professional Liability Insurance helps protect professional advice and service-providing individuals and companies from liability claims. We will discuss why you must distinguish between the traditional negligence claims and professional liability claims. The coverage reviews will focus on how Professional Liability Insurance policies defend negligent claims made by a client for alleged failure to perform under the terms of the contract. We will take a close look at a number of Professional Liability Policies, with special emphasis on the Insurance Agents Errors and Omissions policy.
